Jeff Gerecke founded the G Agency in June 2010 after working at the JCA Literary Agency for 17 years. Prior to becoming an agent, Jeff worked at the University of California Press, where his interest in bringing scholarly books to wider audiences first began.
He has a broad understanding of the translation sales market, having worked as a foreign scout for publishers like Hodder & Stoughton in England and Wilhelm Heyne in Germany.
For thirty years, Jeff Gerecke served as a member Royalty Committee of the American Association of Literary Agents, and he remains keen to challenge publishers for their willfully obscure royalty reporting. He now serves on the Royalty Committee of the Book Industry Study Group, a global standards-setting body for the international publishing industry.
